Suffolk man wanted for Franklin murder

FRANKLIN—Franklin police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 25-year-old man in connection with a Thursday night murder in the city.
Sol Damacus Burke, also known as Dukey, is wanted for shooting Eric Dewayne Smith at 8:30 in the 300 block of Pearl Street, Lt. Tim Whitt said.
Burke is described as a 6-foot-4, 230-pound black man. His last known address was 1215 Blythewood Lane, Suffolk. He has a tattoo of “Dukey” on his right forearm and bicep.
Burke may be in a 2004 red Dodge Durango with Virginia tag XDL-9247.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
