Students celebrate completion of phlebotomy classes

FRANKLIN—A ceremony was held Monday at the Paul D. Camp Community College Regional Workforce Development Center in Franklin to honor the Allied Health students’ Class of 2011.
Students completed the requirements for the Career Studies Certificate in Phlebotomy.
Graduates were Alexandra Bustin of Courtland, Jessica Scott of Windsor, Abby Morrison of Franklin, Jonnie Bartlett of Franklin, Kierra Butts of Courtland, Rebecca Griffin of Suffolk, Maria Chirico of Suffolk, Kelly Rohrbaugh of Windsor, Beverly Rawls of Franklin, Tonya White of Franklin and Lori Atkins of Chester.
Rohrbaugh and Morrison were recognized for applying for the National Student Award. Voted the recipient by her peers, Rohrbaugh also was honored with the Mentorship Award and the Academic Excellence Award for the highest grade-point average in the class. Beverly Rawls, the first to finish her clinical hours at Sentara Obici Hospital, received the Clinical Excellence Award.
