WINDSOR—Ten properties owned by the Town of Windsor are for sale.

Proceeds will help pay for the new municipal building.

The town in February paid $1 million for five acres at Shirley Drive and Route 460. Plans call for a new town hall and police station.

The properties for sale are located on Route 258; North Court, Duke and Church streets; Windsor Boulevard; Holland Drive; and Pine Lane.

No one spoke for or against the pending sale of the properties at the public hearing during Tuesday’s town council meeting. No action was taken.

“From here, council will decide which parcels that they want to offer for sale as well as when they want to do so,” said Town Manager Mike Stallings. “The method by which each property will be offered for sale will be determined at that time. I assume most will be offered through some sort of sealed bid process.”

The parcels, for the most part, are vacant, but some might still have some old structures, said Dennis Carney, planning and zoning administrator.

“We have not developed any estimated value for the properties,” added Stallings.
