SMITHFIELD—Franklin native Clara Hardy died December 22, 2012, at her home in Windsor.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Main Street Baptist Church, Smithfield. Burial will be held in Southview Cemetery, Franklin.

Mrs. Hardy for more than 30 years worked in the Isle of Wight County School system as a special education teaching assistant.

She is survived by her husband, James; children, Bryan Wilson of Smithfield, Kimberly Hutchins of Wake Forest, N.C., and Louie Wilson III of Murfreesboro, N.C.; and brother, Stephen Long of Bronx, N.Y.
