WAKEFIELD—The Tidewater Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Stonebridge 46-18 in the first round of the TA Christmas Tournament on Wednesday.

The Lady Warriors improved to 7-3 overall on the season.

Leaders for the winners were seniors Falon Williams with 21 points and Cary Beahm with 15. Sophomore Kayla O’Gara and Williams both had 5 rebounds apiece.

The Lady Warriors will host Isle of Wight Academy at 6 p.m. today, Dec. 27.
