Tidewater girls 1-1 over weekend

CHARLOTTESVILLE—Tidewater Academy senior Cary Beahm netted 27 points in the Lady Warriors’ 48-46 overtime loss to non-conference opponent Covenant High School Saturday.
The Lady Warriors traveled to Charlottesville Thursday for a two-game series.
Beahm also had six rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Taylor Pruitt scored seven points and senior Falon Williams added six points, five rebounds and four assists.
In action from Friday, the Lady Warriors defeated Tandem Friends High School 44-9 in a non-conference game.
Beahm led with 24 points. Williams added eight points, had eight rebounds and five assists.
The Lady Warriors went 6 of 8 from the free-throw line.
Tidewater was 12-5 overall before traveling to Richmond Christian for a Virginia Commonwealth Conference game on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.
