• Southampton County Public Schools will dismiss students at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 25,  due to the 1 to 3 inches of snow that’s forecast. All evening activities are canceled. SAT tests scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26, have been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 16.

• Franklin Public Schools will close two hours early.

• Windsor High School basketball games for Friday have been canceled.

• Saturday night’s free concert with the Virginia Symphony at Southampton High School has been canceled.

• The Children’s Center at 3:30 p.m. will close all locations. For children in Early Head Start and Head Start, buses will leave at 1. Early Head Start and Head Start programs in which parents pick up children will follow the normal schedule.

• Isle of Wight Academy will close at 1:30 p.m.
