Hazel Johnson Hughes

SEDLEY–Hazel Johnson Hughes, 95, widow of Jack Orlando Hughes, went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 11, 2013.
She was born in Sedley, Va., to the late James William and Julia Davis Johnson and was predeceased by her three brothers, Vance, Chesley and J. C. Johnson.
A former 40-year resident of Homeville, Mrs. Hughes left to cherish her memory a sister, Jessie J. Cook and her husband, Harold, and nephew, Troy Cook and his wife, Carolyn, all of Sedley; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and sisters-in-law, Catherine Perry of Franklin and Mary Sipiczky Johnson of Richmond.
Heaven gained an angel — we will treasure our memory of her and miss her very much.
The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, on Wednesday, February 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, with the Rev. Larry Cribb officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.
