MAPLETON, N.C.—Hollie J. Vaughan, 86, of Mapleton, N.C., died Feb. 9, 2013, at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, N.C.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Hertford County High School. Burial will follow in Gatling Family Cemetery.

Ms. Vaughan retired as a teaching assistant from Hertford County Schools.

Locally, she is survived by a brother, Juan Vaughan Sr. of Murfreesboro, N.C.
