Hoping best for Randy Blythe

When someone’s willing to cross an ocean to support you in a time of trouble, that’s love.
Case in point is Randy Blythe, formerly of Franklin. He’s the front man of a Richmond-based heavy-metal band, Lamb of God. Instead of singing on stages, Randy is testifying in Czech Republic courtrooms.
During a concert in that country in May 2010, a young audience member reportedly got onto the stage. Randy is accused of pushing him off onto a concrete floor. Weeks later, the man died, and the singer was blamed. The charge is involuntarily manslaughter. He could get up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.
Enter Randy’s father, Wayne, also formerly of Franklin. He attended his son’s trial in Prague this month and will return it March when it continues.
Wayne Blythe remains hopeful about the situation and believes his son would’ve never hurt anyone intentionally. Randy Blythe also wants closure for the victim’s family.
We can only hope for the best outcome.
