CHESAPEAKE—Southampton Academy sophomore Russell Balance netted a hat trick in the season opener during the Raiders’ 5-3 season opening win over Greenbrier Christian on Tuesday.

“Great win for first game of the season,” said SA Coach Jamie Weist. “I was really impressed with our younger players stepping up and the general chemistry of the team.”

Junior Johnnie Tribbett and Freshman Seth Edwards scored one apiece.

The Raiders will travel to Windsor High School for a 6:30 p.m. today, March 14, game; before hosting Surry High School or a 4:15 p.m. Friday, March 15, game
