Courtland man charged with selling cocaine

COURTLAND—A Courtland man has been charged on a federal indictment for allegedly conspiring to sell 280 grams of crack cocaine.
Derek Deshaud Faulcon, 38, of the 21000 Block of Main Street, was arrested Tuesday as part of a continuing investigation into illegal drug trafficking and distribution in Franklin and Southampton County.
A joint investigation by the Franklin Police Department, Southampton County Sheriff’s Department, F.B.I. Safe Streets Peninsula Task Force, and Drug Enforcement Administration led to the arrest.
Faulcon was remanded to the custody of U.S. Marshals.
Prosecution will be handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
