Annandale – Thomas J. Dameron of Annandale, Virginia passed away peacefully in his home on March 2nd, 2013. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years Beverly L Dameron, his daughter Leslie Myers and her husband James Myers, his son Eric Dameron and his wife Glenda Dameron, two grandchildren, Kristin and Katelyn Myers, and his sister Nancy Turner and her husband Bobby Turner. Her grew up in Franklin, Va and was the son of Thomas (Judkins) and Miriam Dameron.

He retired from the Naval Sea Systems Engineering Activity, where he played an integral part in the development and engineering of shipboard navigation, interior communications, and fire and damage control systems for the Navy’s aircraft carrier program. Before his illness, he volunteered at the Columbia Baptist church Food Pantry, and was a driver coordinator for Meals on Wheels. He was a member of a local B.A.S.S club, and an avid tournament fisherman. He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for several years at Grace Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. He also led a troop of Explorer Scouts on expeditions to Philmont, New Mexico.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbia Baptist Church Food Pantry: 103 West Columbia Street, Falls Church, VA 22046.
