Blackstone—The Southampton Academy baseball team won the 2013 Virginia Commonwealth Conference tournament on Saturday, defeating Fuqua School by a final score of 5-4.

The Raiders open the state playoffs on Tuesday with a quarterfinal game against Walsingham Academy. The game will be at SA and the first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
