The Southside District has announced its 2013 All-District Softball Team and, for the second consecutive year, Southampton High School junior Madison Cabell was named Southside District Player of the Year. SHS and Park View dominated the 1st Team all district selection, with the Lady Indians garnering four and Park View six of the twelve first team positions.

Infielders: Madison Cabell, Southampton; Lindsey Townsend, Parkview; Amanda Crutchfield, Park View; DeMone’ Brickhouse, Southampton; Makayla Booker, Prince Edward

Outfielders: TaLisha Jenkins, Southampton; Sydney Crafton, Park View; Madison Tucker, Park View

Player of the Year: Madison Cabell, Southampton

Pitcher of the Year: Amanda Roberts, Park View

Coach of the Year: John Manning, Park View

Second team selections from SHS were pitcher Emily Nelson, infielders Megan Duck and Kayle Edwards, and outfielder Zoe Dunlow.
