Stephens is Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week

FRANKLIN—Marcus Stephens of the Franklin Broncos is Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week for week 4 of the football season.
The Broncos were at home this past week and blew out Charles City 56-0.
In the victory, Stephens led the team in rushing with 102 yards and two touchdowns. Stephens also returned a 67-yard punt return for a touchdown.
All of this production was in the first quarter. The first score was an 82-yard touchdown run. The second score was a 20-yard touchdown run. His final score was on the punt return for a touchdown.
Isle of Wight Academy’s Gage Rogers was the runner up. Rogers rushed for 122 yards on 3 rushes and found pay dirt on two of those carries. He also returned a punt return for a touchdown, as the Chargers cruised to a 39-22 victory over Brunswick Academy.
