NEWSOMS—Peggy Davis Ferguson, 82, passed away November 13, 2013. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Ferguson was predeceased by her husband, William “Billy” Ferguson; sister, Frances Daughtrey, and son-in-law, John Grizzard.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Hazelwood (Mike), Joy F. Grizzard, and Foy F. Caulder (Forrest); five grandchildren, Penny Van Brackle Cassidy (Bruce), Jamie Lynn Caulder Cook (Jim), Angie Grizzard Fatherly (Chris), Jonathan Caulder and Andy Grizzard; four great-grandchildren, Mattaniah Cook, Zachary Cook, Katelyn Fatherly and Baby Girl Cook to be born in March and sister, Martha D. Warren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms with the Rev. Jason Wise and the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM on Friday (today) at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel and suggest memorials be made to Newsoms Baptist Church or American Cancer Society. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
