Franklin police are looking for a suspect in connection with an attempted armed robbery. At 10:28 p.m. Monday, an unknown white male driving a green Chevrolet full size, crew cab pickup truck ordered a meal at the drive thru of the Dairy Queen at 1418 Armory Drive in Franklin. The suspect pulled around to the pickup window, when the cashier opened the window she observed the subject wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun.

Before the suspect could say anything the cashier implemented threat procedures and the suspect fled. The suspect was wearing a red jacket and a blaze orange ski mask, the truck appears to have a small tool box mounted in the bed behind the cab. Information that leads to an arrest could earn the caller a cash reward while remaining anonymous.
