FRANKLIN—The Franklin School Board has set 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 for a public hearing. The members are seeking input for what the community wants to see in the next superintendent. The hearing will take place in council chambers.

An online survey is available at www.surveymonkey.com/s/FranklinCitySupt.

The board will then meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 3 to discuss what it wants in the way of qualifications for a new school leader, based in part on feedback the board receives during the public hearing and the survey. They will accept applications for the position between March 4-April 1.

The Virginia School Board Association will meet with the Franklin board on April 10 in closed session to discuss the application pool.
