Rudolph F. Marshall

GATES, N.C.—Rudolph Franklin Marshall, 73, passed away on March 12, 2014.
He was a son of the late Goldie Koeller and Wiley Bland Marshall, and was predeceased by five brothers, Walley, Willard, Robert, Alfred and Joseph Marshall.
Rudy was a Vietnam Marine veteran, a retired supervisor from Gunnoe Sausage Company and was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church in Franklin, Va.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Mary Elizabeth Fowler Marshall; three sons, Rudolph Franklin Marshall Jr. of Gates, Paul Vincent Marshall (Stacey) of Madison, Va., and Steven Franklin Marshall (Sarah) of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, May M. Winters (Bill) of Wilson, N.C; one brother, Charles Lewis Marshall (Val) of Suffolk, Va.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren on the way; and special friends Tom “Tater” and Darlene Moyer and Franklin Fowler.
The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, in Black Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests memorial donations may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church, 34163 Vicksville Road, Franklin, VA 23851.
