COURTLAND—On March 15 at 8:21 p.m., a Southampton County Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in a single vehicle accident.

The deputy, along with others, was responding to a shots fired call in the Town of Courtland. The deputy was being carried to Sentara Norfolk General for treatment.

The deputy’s name is not being released.
