FRANKLIN—The Southampton Indians picked up a 4-2 win Wednesday down the road at Armory Park.

The Franklin Broncos got things going early in the match, with Angel Padilla scoring twice on breakaway goals. But Indians Coach Scott Edwards said that his team settled in after that and controlled much of the game.

Kim Weers started the scoring in the first, from a pass from Kevin Watford. Later on in the half, Gavin Thompson scored on a header from Enoch Westover’s cross.

That would end scoring for the first half, with the score evened up 2 all.

Watford started off scoring in the second half, from a penalty kick, and Weers added an insurance goal off of a rebound.

Franklin had 4 shots on goal, and Southampton had 13.
