ISLE OF WIGHT—A Carrsville woman suffered minor injuries after her car crashed on Route 258 in Isle of Wight County on Thursday, said Corrine Geller, public relations director for the Virginia State Police.

Jennifer L. Nieves, 42, was reportedly driving her 2006 Volkswagen south on 258, less than a mile north of Route 652. At 11 a.m., the car ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch before overturning.

Virginia State Police Trooper M.A. Mumford responded to the call.

Nieves, who wore her seatbelt, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
