Fernando Varela will start the season off on the proverbial high note when he takes to the stage and begins to sing. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Varela is a member of Forte, a three-man group that’s been making a name for itself. Independently, he performed on America’s Got Talent, and has been a winner in a contest sponsored by songwriter David Foster.

Valera will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Thanks as always are due to the Camp Foundation for sponsoring the holiday concert, which will be provided by the Virginia Symphony. The orchestra will perform seasonal favorites at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

“Oh What a Night!” is a musical tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. A quartet of singers will perform familiar hits such as “Can’t Keep My Eyes Off of You,” “Sherry,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” to name a few. The performance begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The Virginia Children’s Chorus from the Hampton Roads region is made up of students from ages 6 to 18. Specifically, two groups are set to perform: The Concert Choir, directed by Carol T. Downing, and The Chamber Singers, led by Paul Putnam.

This show starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 1.

The ensemble Good Company has been invited to play at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27.

This group is composed of eight singers, songwriters and musicians that will play a variety of styles in bluegrass, gospel, rock and rhythm and blues.

Karrnnel is a Canadian-based fiddler who, according to his website, “grew up playing in a family band with his two sisters and his father, traveling across North America as The Sawitsky Family Fiddlers.”

In addition to playing on his own, Karrnnel is also a composer. He’s scheduled to play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25.

All shows will take place at the Southampton High School Auditorium in Courtland.

Membership tickets for adults cost $50 per person; $10 for students.

There are also eight sponsorship levels ranging from donor at $70 or more to benefactor at $1,000 or more.
