Franklin senior looks to lead VSU on defense

ETTRICK—Playing this year for the Virginia State University Trojans is Andre Rawls, who is a senior outside linebacker from Franklin.

He is a Southampton High School graduate, and in college he is majoring in business management. Rawls has played in 10 games and has 48 total tackles, 36 of them solo.
He has 8 tackles for a loss and three sacks.
Rawls has forced 2 fumbles and has hurried the quarterback 6 times, while breaking up 6 passes.
Preseason practices started on Monday, Aug. 11, and will end on Sept. 4, just before the start of the season.
