To the Editor:

Today I was carrying some items to the Cooperative Ministry and I thought, ‘I am so blessed. Not once in my life have I been hungry. I have a warm bed to sleep in, and warm clothes to wear.’

In a country where there is so much luxury and waste, there are people who have to sleep in the cold and don’t have warm clothing. They don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

There is something very wrong with this picture and we need to do something to help. All of us with plenty can help by donating to organizations like the Cooperative Ministry or food banks.

We should help our local communities to feed and care for our neighbors.

I thank God for my many blessings.
