HENDERSON, N.C. — Mr. Richard “Dick” Barnes, formerly of Southampton County, passed away on July 11, 2015, while a patient in Duke University Hospital.

The homegoing service will be on Friday, July 17, at noon, in White Oak Spring Baptist Church, with Elder Ronald Barnes delivering the eulogy; the Rev. Melvin Wofford is host pastor. The interment will be in Southview Cemetery.

A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Inc., 224 S. Main St., Franklin, Virginia.
