Deputies from the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Glen Allen Harrison Jr., 34, of Franklin, for his failure to perform construction work after receiving a monetary advance.
“It is alleged that only a portion of the work was completed before Harrison stopped showing up to the job site,” Det. Camden Cobb said. “[He] could not be contacted and the balance of the money paid was not returned.”
Harrison has been the subject of an investigation since December 2014, when deputies received a complaint in reference to the charges. He was arrested on Aug. 12, and was released the same day on $1,500 secured bond.
“The delay in the report and the arrest is due to the deputy’s investigation into this matter and locating and identifying a correct address for Harrison,” Cobb added.
