TOWSON, Md. — Thelma Pope Pulley, 86, formerly of Courtland, Virginia, and a resident of Edenwald in Towson, surrendered to her battle with cancer and passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015. She was the widow of Franklin Bert Pulley of Courtland. Born in Capron, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Burroughs and Mary Worrell Pope.

She was dedicated to her family and was happiest when with her family. She was a devoted daughter, a loving wife, a dedicated mother and an excellent cook

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Pulley Boykin, and her husband, Patrick, of Timonium, Maryland; a son, Franklin Dean Pulley, and his wife, Sherry, of Surprise, Arizona; two grandchildren, Sam Boykin and Elizabeth Pulley Epstein; and her brother, Charlie Pope, and his family of Richmond, Virginia.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. James W. Browder III officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rawls Museum Arts located in Courtland.
