To the Editor:

What a day! Kudos to everyone who made Small Business Saturday in Downtown Franklin such a huge success. Enthusiastic customers filled my store in the morning and shopped until dusk! The cash register rang joyfully throughout the day as sales were brisk.

The entire day was just plain FUN! Much of the success was thanks to the great publicity by Franklin/Southampton Economic Development … people in the area knew we were here with great bargains and customer service.

They were excited about the bargains, and many participated in the “Show Your Small Business Selfie” competition. I hope one of my great customers wins the prize, but, no matter, I feel the shopping experience was positive for all involved. Let’s plan on doing this again in the near future. Spring is always a slow time for sales, and we could all use a little boost! Thank you again for helping to make the day a success!
