The downside of online shopping

Although I am a Christmas fanatic and love every aspect of it, this year seems to be more hectic than ever. Going from having a six-week break at Christmas for the past four years while I was in school to having a full-time job this year, has been quite different. It seems like there aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything I need to do — especially Christmas shopping.
This year, I have relied on online shopping more than ever. The convenience of it has been absolutely wonderful and a huge time saver.
Unfortunately, though, I have ran across a problem when some orders are delivered. Some delivery truck drivers are leaving these packages on the front porch. Generally, that wouldn’t be a problem because a lot of packages are delivered in brown boxes that disguise the item.
But recently a package was delivered in a box that did not disguise what the item was. I have heard of this happening to other people as well. The box that was delivered to my house not only had the name of the item written on it, it also had the picture of the item on it. Although nothing happened to the package, I couldn’t help but be irritated by the fact that this particular box was left on my front porch.
If this has ever happened to you, I’m sure you were just as concerned about the situation as I am. Anyone who drives by can see exactly what it is.
I encourage truck delivery drivers, if possible, to leave packages like these on the back porch — or at least try and hide them better instead of leaving them out in the open.
