We want to remind our readers that we need your help in preparing for this year’s Progress edition, “The Most Influential People in Western Tidewater History.”

We ask that if you haven’t done so already, to think about Western Tidewater and the history that got us where we are today. Then think about the people who were influential to that history in one way or another. These people can be from any point in time.

We ask that when you submit your suggestions, that you not only tell us the person(s) you’ve come up with, but also tell us why you think that person is so influential to our history.

After we receive your suggestions and compile our list, we will then narrow the list down and rank the people.

Many of you have said that you look forward to our Progress edition each year, so we are trying to make this year’s edition the best one yet. That is why we are asking for your help.
