In an effort to be on the cutting edge of the public education industry, the Blackwater Regional Library’s Bookmobile will undergo major upgrades in January with the addition of a more vibrant and comprehensive print collection and access to technology through free Wi-Fi and computers. In order to implement these changes, the Bookmobile will be taken off of its current route until April.

“Please know that every effort will be made to reach the citizens that regularly access the Bookmobile by our staff in the brick and mortar locations,” said Director Jenny Bailey. “On behalf of the Blackwater Regional Library System, thank you for understanding this small outage. I hope you’re excited as we are about the new outreach program coming to Southampton County.”

The new Bookmobile will allow it to have a stronger presence at festivals and events in the community.

“The library will work closely with other non-profit organizations to ensure that the maximum amount of people are positively affected by everything the library has to offer,” Bailey added.
