FRANKLIN
Every year, the Tiger Riders Motorcycle Club chooses a family to donate money to during the Christmas holiday. This year, they chose a family of three children, who lost their mother a couple months ago to breast cancer. Their grandmother is now taking care of them.

“We have a couple of members from the Franklin and Suffolk area and they knew the family. That’s how we chose this particular one,” business manager of the club Michelle Roberts said.

The Myrick children, Deonte, Daylah and Dreyah, along with their grandmother Gloria, were very appreciate of the money the club donated to them.

Members of the club went to the family’s house on Friday to give the grandmother the check in hopes she would be able to use it for some Christmas shopping.

The members who went to the family’s house were: [club names] Eastside, Kool J, Baby Girl, Mr. P. and Shell.

This tradition is organized by club’s president, Nighttime.

“We are a 100 percent nonprofit organization and all our money goes back into the community – through different donations,” he said.

The Tiger Riders hope that this money will help the family during this hard time they are going through and will make the holiday a little bit easier on them.
