The two people found dead by a family member in a Southampton County home on Monday have been identified by the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office. Donald and Vanessa Raiford were discovered with gunshot wounds at 22170 Southampton Parkway around 12:34 p.m.

Major Gene Drewery, spokesman for the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office, said that the bodies are being sent to the Norfolk Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

Drewery added that the department is conducting a death investigation, and that they are not looking for suspects.
