Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended that the Southampton County Planning Commission will hold public hearings on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Southampton County Office Center at 26022 Administration Center Drive in Courtland, Virginia to consider the following:
1. RZA 2016:01, Request by Daniel and Jocelyn Jenkins, owners, for a zoning map amendment from CR-2, Conditional Residential, to A-1, Agricultural, to permit the construction of a manufactured home. The property is 1.09 acres in size, is known as Tax Parcel 67-51K, and is located on the west side of Tennessee Road (SR 722) approximately 1,060’ south of its intersection with Southampton Parkway (US 58). The property is in the Drewryville Voting and Magisterial Districts.
2. RZA 2015:04, Request by Hampton Roads Development, L.L.C., owner, for a zoning map amendment from A-2, Agricultural and R-1, Residential to CM-1, Conditional Limited Industrial with proffers, for 438.71 acres of property on the north side of Camp Parkway (US Bus 58). The property extends behind Riverdale Elementary School (31023 Camp Parkway) and from the school east to the Franklin city limit, and from Camp Parkway north to the railroad tracks on both sides of Delaware Road (SR 687). The property is known as Tax Parcels 77-36, 77-38, and 77-43 and is in the Franklin Voting and Magisterial Districts.
Documents are available in the Franklin Southampton Community Development office in Franklin City Hall and the Southampton County Administration office in Courtland.
Any persons desiring to speak in favor of or opposition to the above referenced application(s) are encouraged to appear and be heard at the aforementioned time and place. Any persons wishing to attend this hearing who may require auxiliary aids should contact Michael W.
