The Southampton Academy soccer team split is two most recent matches, dropping a non-conference contest to Fuqua Academy, 5-0, and defeating Brunswick Academy, 8-0.

“In the loss, [we] failed to maintain possession consistently throughout the contest, and were outplayed by the Falcons’ strong midfield attack,” head coach Jamie Weist said. “In the win, senior captain Seth Edwards netted his third hat trick of the season.”

The Raiders are currently 5-3, 4-1 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference. Their next game is scheduled for Friday against Greenbrier Christian Academy.
