WINDSOR
Last year’s Concert at the Gazebo series in Windsor was such a success that the Town has planned for a third season of outdoor music. All shows will be at the pavilion next to the library on Duke Street.

This year, the Michael Clark Band will kick off the series on Friday, May 6; the free program is scheduled to last from 6 to 9 p.m.

What’s a concert without food? The Boy Scouts of Troop 41 will be selling refreshments that evening.

“We’re looking forward to a successful year and hope that residents will enjoy the Friday evenings,” said Mayor Carita Richardson.

In addition to sponsorship from the Town and Real Country 101.7 WLQM-FM, a car dealership has offered to help with the costs.

“We want to thank Duke Automotive in Suffolk to sponsor the series,” she added.

The Rhondels are scheduled to perform on June 3, and The DeLoreans on Aug. 5, both shows are also on Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m.

Granny’s Kitchen, the mobile food truck, is scheduled to sell refreshments on both occasions.

There won’t be a Friday show in July, but Island Boy will perform for the celebration of Independence Day, which falls on a Monday this year.
