WINDSOR
Last week, Windsor Library hosted a visit and booking signing of Allie Marie, author of “Teardrops of the Innocent: The White Diamond Story True Colors Series Book 1.”
During her visit, she shared background on the novel, answered questions and participated in the Windsor Library Book club meeting, as the group had recently read her book.
“It was a wonderful evening,” Windsor Library Branch Manager Lauren Lombard said. “Allie Marie is a fascinating person and everyone enjoyed talking to her and hearing about her book and what inspired her to write it.”
Marie grew up in Portsmouth, reading Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden mysteries. Although her book is fiction, she references several places in Virginia, particularly those in Portsmouth.
She had a career in law enforcement, and after retiring is when she began writing fiction. Throughout her life she spent time researching her family tree, which is something that inspired her to write the “True Color Series.”
The next book in the series, “Heart of Courage: The Red Ruby Story” will be coming out in a few weeks.
During the book club meeting, she shared a sneak peak of the book and what the cover will look like.
Marie also shared with the group that she has began book three of the series, “Voice of the Just: The Blue Sapphire Story.”
“Plans are already in the works to have Allie back after her next book is published, as well as having other local authors in the future,” Lombard added.
Book No. 1 – and in a few weeks book No. 2 – are on sale on Amazon and available at Barnes & Noble.
