To the Editor:

It is not my intention to bash anyone, because as we look at our city, we need to be focused on building a promising future. We have followed an evasive leadership long enough.

Greg McLemore is the most opened and creative thinker on City Council. Citizens of Ward 3 have re-elected him over the years, because we saw him struggling to present positive ideas while his fellow councilmen would not discuss them.

There has been a generally displayed attitude among the council members that only one or four members were critical thinkers, while the others had little or no input except that of reading a prepared written motion allowing no opportunity for the consideration of citizens’ influence on action taken. Greg McLemore will never fit in such an environment. It is time to break the Franklin mold and move toward opened government with someone who has tried to accomplish things to help all citizens in Franklin.

Mr. McLemore is running on a proven record of displayed interest in economic growth, utility and renewable energy reform, tax reform, and continued educational improvement. Through our vote on May 3, 2016, let’s elect someone who will put the major issues on the table and seek input from all citizens.

Mr. McLemore has represented Ward 3 well as he got the streets repaired such as at College Drive and Maplewood Avenue, equipment repaired and replaced at the College Drive playground and established a positive relationship with others who represent our ward. Let’s vote on May 3, 2016, and elect Greg McLemore as mayor for a better quality of life in Franklin.
