Shots fired at Dorchester Square apartments

FRANKLIN
Franklin police responded to a call involving gunfire at the Dorchester Square apartment complex in the 1600 block of Dorchester Street at approximately 11:27 Tuesday morning, according to Police Captain Timothy Whitt.
The officers were advised that there had been several gunshots and a fight in progress. Upon arrival, they learned that an occupied apartment had been struck by gunfire twice and an unoccupied vehicle had been struck once. No one was harmed by the gunshots.
While at the scene, police spoke with several individuals in the area who did not elaborate on what had occurred.
The officers learned that a victim was at Southampton Memorial Hospital for treatment after allegedly being pistol-whipped during the fight.
The victim refused to cooperate with the investigation.
