PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications:

The application of Ray and Lisa Betterton for an exception to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Ordinance. Specifically, under Section 4002, to allow encroachment of 62 feet into the 100-foot-wide Resource Protection Area buffer to build a single-family home at 13604 Bowling Green Road, Windsor, in the Windsor Election District.

An ordinance to amend and reenact the following section of the Isle of Wight County Code, Appendix B, Zoning: Article V, Supplementary Use Regulations for Residential Use Types, Section 5-5002.I (Home Occupation, Type I and II) in order to allow “Gunsmith” as a Type II Home Occupation with a Conditional Use Permit.

Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said applications may appear before and be heard by said Planning Commission during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
