FRANKLIN
The Franklin Police Department is searching for a male suspect in regards to a robbery that took place at the Love’s Travel Center, 2307 South Street, Franklin.

According to Capt. Tim Whitt of the FPD, officers responded to a robbery at the travel center on Friday, July 29, at approximately 12:49 a.m. Upon arrival it was learned a female victim was withdrawing money from the ATM in the store when she noticed a subject watching her.

As the victim was paying for her items at the cash register, the suspect attacked her and grabbed her wallet. The victim struggled with the suspect, but he managed to get her wallet from her before fleeing the store.

No weapon was used and the victim was not injured in the altercation.
