RICHMOND — Victoria R. Gray, 95, formerly of Boykins, Virginia, departed this life on Aug. 26, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tee Gray Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Queen G. Taylor of Richmond, Virginia; Katie G. Whitfield (Richard) and Cassandra G. Jefferson (Keith), both of Chesterfield, Virginia; Ella G. Perkins (Hamilton) of Henrico, Virgina; Clementine G. Callahan (George) of Disputanta, Virginia; and Joyce G. Claude (Gregory) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two sons, James T. Gray Jr. (Gwendolyn) of Boykins, and Justin Gray Sr. (Joyce) of Franklin; a devoted grandson, Terrance N. Gray Sr. (Katrina) of Richmond; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her brother, Booker T. Rogers (Marie) of Richmond; three sisters, Hattie T. Adkins of Boykins; Nettie R. Spencer of Richmond; and Irene R. Jackson (James) of Hampton, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The remains rest at Scott’s Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., Richmond, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 1 from 6 to 7 p.m.

After noon on Friday, Sept. 2, the remains will rest in Shiloh Baptist Missionary Church, 30188 Shiloh Road, Boykins, where the funeral will be at 1 p.m. The Rev. Anthony Ferebee will officiate; the Rev. Dr. Lillie A. Faison will be the eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
