FRANKLIN
The Franklin Police Department is investigating a possible arson following a car fire at 418 Pine St., Franklin on Tuesday. Officers responded to reports at 3:19 p.m. and discovered a 1995 Toyota Avalon parked beside the house engulfed in flames, which they have since deemed to be suspicious in nature.

The Franklin Fire Department extinguished the fire and determined that the car had been inoperable prior to the fire.

There was no reported damage to the interior of the house from the fire and no reported injuries to anyone.

However, much of the siding on one side of the house has been melted or burned away.
