Armory Drive Subway robbed at gunpoint

Franklin police officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Subway on Armory Drive Thursday at 9:33 p.m.
According to Capt. Tim Whitt of the Franklin Police Department, employees told the arriving officers that two black male suspects armed with handguns entered the restaurant and proceeded to assault two female employees, forcing one to open the safe.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspects fled. The employees sustained injuries that required treatment and were transported to Southampton Memorial Hospital.
One suspect is described as a black male with light skin carrying a black handgun, wearing a mask, blue gloves and a red hoodie. The other suspect is described as a black male with medium complexion carrying a black handgun, wearing a mask, black gloves and a black hoodie.
The Franklin Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to call the department at 562-8575 or the Franklin Crime Solvers at 562-8599. Information that leads to an arrest can earn the caller a cash reward of up to $1,000 with the caller remaining anonymous.
