FRANKLIN — Phillip McCory Reid, 66, died on Friday, Jan. 6, 2016, in Consulate Health Care of Windsor.
A native of Holland in Nansemond County, he was employed at various places such as the WalMart, Apollo Plastics and the Skate Park.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sykes-Reid; two sons, Charles Reid and Anthony Reid, both of Zuni; three stepchildren, Jody Sykes of Chesapeake, Natasha S. Richardson of Franklin and Alisha Sykes of Courtland; seven sisters and two brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. in Engram Funeral Home, and the Rev. J.J. Ferguson will deliver the eulogy. A Marine veteran, he will receive burial with military honors in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
