HOLLAND — Frances Councill Eubank, 88, died on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, in Ligonier Gardens, Ligonier, Pennsylvania.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1929, in Suffolk, Virginia, (Nansemond County) a daughter of the late Harvey L. and Sarah Daughtry Councill.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Eubank, in 2008.

She graduated from Holland High School as class president in 1946. After attending Madison College for two years she became a secretary and served at Holland Elementary and High School for two years. Then she became an executive secretary at Union Camp Corporation and remained there for over 30 years retiring in 1994.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan (Dr. Vincent) DeCosmo of Ligonier; and two grandchildren, Stephen and Melissa DeCosmo.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Matthew Johnson officiating. The burial will follow at Holland Cemetery.
A reception will follow the service at noon in The Village at Woods Edge.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home, and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
