BOYKINS — Alton H. Overby Jr., 69, passed away on March 12, 2017, in Courtland Health Care Center.
He was a retired chemical salesman, and a member of Courtland Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Jean Marie Rowland of Ivor; a brother, Dennis W. Overby of Branchville; a granddaughter; one niece and two nephews.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Renee Edwards officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service, and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Boykins Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 347, Boykins, VA 23827, or the Courtland Baptist Church Youth Fund.
