Lady Bronco netters outplay Lady Dukes for win

The Lady Bronco netters came out on top in a match on Monday over the Lady Dukes of Windsor High School. Playing on the tennis courts at Franklin High School, the Lady Broncos had a 4-2 edge in singles matches, as the Broncos’ No. 6 player Azzure Boyd fought off a strong comeback by the Lady Dukes’ Tori Tomlin to win 8-6.
The Lady Broncos needed one doubles win to win the match. The No. 2 team of Ayana Mabry & Sierra Newby went down first very quickly to the Lady Dukes’ Skylar Prinaotta and Emma Wyatt with a score of 3-8. Finishing next and to quench the match was the Lady Broncos No. 1 team of Jada Barnes and Erin Karmilovich, who easily defeated the Lady Dukes’ TeQuila Williams and Victoria Johnson with a score of 8-2. But putting the icing on the cake was an 8-4 win by the Lady Broncos’ No. 3 team of DeAnna Mayberry and Azzure Boyd over the Lady Dukes’ Sheena Virden and Harrah Couch.
